FIVE MONTHS HAVE PASSED
I am so sorry that 5 months have passed since I last entered anything on this blog. Our lives have been in a turmoil and seems like time slips away. (I don't like that...) April, May, June, July and now August. I will try to enter highlights from these months. Our son Kris, wife Dustie and 4 children moved in with us in April. It was a good experience for Taylor as she loved having other kids to play with in the house; she loved Adrianna, the new baby. She learned to be more independent but also bugged poor Desirae a lot. But for the most part, they enjoyed each other's company. May meant the end of school and Taylor did very well this year with Mr. Boyd. June brought her birthday on June 17th; she was 11 years old. She had two friends over and one spent the night. Horseback riding began with "Riding on Angels Wings". She had one day a week doing Theraputic riding and one day a week training as an independent rider . July was a lot of swimming in the pool and playing with friends. Then on August 1st we went to Gillette's Childrens Hospital in St. Paul, MN for her checkup to surprisingly find out that she must have surgery again this fall on both her knees. The knee caps are 3-4 inches above her knees. Then she went to spend 5 days with Britton and Jason. We visited Linda and John Galbraith and went to Britton's for 3 days. It was a wonderful time. Except Taylor got very sick on the way home and the next day found out that she had strep throat again. We are most excited about August 26th. Why? She was chosen to go to the Special Olympics Equestrian in Hugo, MN and compete in the Working Trails. She is now a totally independent rider and will compete in an obstacle course by herself. Then off to Family Labor Day Camp at Cooperstown Bible Camp with the whole family.
